Before you set off this season
Caravan tyres age out long before they wear out. Check the date code on the sidewall and replace anything over five years old regardless of tread. Check the wheel nut torque, the brakes after winter storage, and the noseweight — an incorrectly loaded caravan is the main cause of snaking at speed.
Weight matters
When you call, tell us the unit's MTPLM and its length, and whether the wheels and brakes turn freely. It lets us send the right vehicle first time.

What do you need to know to tow my caravan?

Can you recover my car and caravan together?
Yes. If your tow car breaks down, we can recover both — the car on the truck and the caravan on tow — so you are not left with one of them at the roadside.
Do you move horseboxes and plant trailers?
Yes. We move horseboxes (empty), plant trailers, car transporters and box trailers. Tell us the size and weight so we send a suitable vehicle.
Can you take my caravan into storage?
Yes. We can tow it straight to our secure yard in Erith and bring it back when you need it.
Are you insured to tow caravans?
Yes. We are fully insured for towing and goods in transit, and certificates are available on request.

Our yard is at Standard Wharf, 189 Manor Road in Erith, DA8 2AD, and every truck starts from there. If you are in Bexley, Dartford, Greenwich or anywhere in that belt we are usually with you inside half an hour. Further into London or out towards Medway and Maidstone it is closer to an hour. Ring us with your postcode and we will give you a real number rather than a hopeful one — and if somebody closer would genuinely reach you faster in an emergency, we will say so.
